GarthGarth, age 73, had enjoyed a very active life, playing golf, taking long walks and even playing football and other games with his grandchildren in the garden.

He had been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in his right hip joint, facing the distinct possibility of having to have a hip replacement.

Garth met with Mr. Vikas Vedi to discuss his problem and Mr Vedi suggested the possibility of having the nSTRIDE injection into the hip joint, something that he had been doing very successfully with patients with knee problems and osteoarthritis.

At the time Mr Vedi had performed the NSTRIDE injection into the hip joints of 9 patients like Garth, with a high success rate.

Garth opted to have it done privately with Mr.Vedi and the initial result was not really noticeable, although he had probably expected instant success.

Garth commented “After a series of physio appointments Mr Vedi recommended, with regular exercises at home to strengthen the surrounding muscles, plus regular use of turmeric which is recommended as a joint and muscle help, I am now, several months later, walking pain free in the hip and back to playing 18-holes of golf.  I didn’t expect this level of success.

Garth continues “It is almost certain that the nSTRIDE injection is the main reason for my amazing improvement, helped no doubt by the exercises given by the physiotherapist and the turmeric, but I would highly recommend this injection if Mr. Vedi considers it is the way forward to help his patient.  I am sure that once enough patients have had similar improvement to osteoarthritis in their hips after such an injection, as in my case, then it will become a treatment that should become readily available to the NHS.”
